BMJ Live is one of the largest events that is held within the UK for health professionals. With a growing global audience, the event required a brand identity system that was distinct and flexible to be applied throughout all materials for the event.


The main challenge was to develop a visual theme and identity that spoke to attendees (health professionals), that was visually compelling and appealing, could scale across mediums, and aligned with BMJ Publishing Group’s corporate branding.


The strategy developed for BMJ Live focussed on the theme of bringing people together and making connections.


We developed a verbal and visual toolkit for the conference, that was distinct and adaptable. This was then applied across all communications for the conference both online and offline.


The first BMJ Live event saw over 2,500 delegates connect across four days of keynote presentations, workshops and masterclasses. The brand has become recognised as a source of leading insights for medical professionals.
