Groundsure is a leading UK environmental and climate data authority. 

To support their vision of becoming the leader in global environmental and climate insights into land and property transactions, a refresh of their visual identity was required.

For the housing association Valleys to Coast, the way that the repairs and maintenance arm operated was broken. The entire process from customer to company was fragmented and frustrating, thus needing a new sister company to adapt to the needs and expectations of its clientele.

The challenge

As a business built on providing clarity on environmental and forward climate risks, Groundsure take their responsibility towards the planet very seriously.

A refresh of their visual identity and core business touchpoint, their website, was required to support their business vision, mission and values, along with their B-Corp Certification.

Groundsure is set on leading the industry. A visual identity and website that support this position are essential.

The Brand Idea

Groundsure is focused on helping a climate-challenged society make positive, sustainable and responsible land and property decisions.

Groundsure needed to be positioned as a trusted guide and authority within the sector.

For Groundsure we developed the brand idea of ‘Empowered Decision Making’.

This theme flowed through our work when identifying and refining the website's key user journeys. 

This theme supported the visual and verbal identity, influencing the messaging, tone of voice, and visual direction of the brand.

The solution

Our task was to transform the website UI and UX into a clear and cohesive experience while giving the brand a fresh look and feel that would appeal to Groundsure’s audience.

​We crafted a unique brand illustration and icon system to ensure the Groundsure team had an ownable asset library instead of relying on stock imagery. The assets created for the Brand Toolkit were utilised to create a full Design System for Groundsure’s tech platform, e-commerce portal and reporting platform.

With simplicity and clarity playing an important role in Groundsure’s offering to their clients, it was vital that this was represented across all platforms.

Developing the Brand Identity

Following the launch of the new website, we have supported the team at Groundsure in creating a site for their Australian market and provided a suite of digital and motion assets to assist with their marketing and growth plans. 

The brand identity and new messaging were implemented across all business touchpoints. As Groudnsure continues to innovate its products and services, the identity has been designed to be extendable and flexible, creating a long-term business asset.
