Hellospark, a pioneering French company, is at the forefront of the renewable energy and electric mobility sectors. With a mission to drive change and innovation, Hellospark specialise in transforming carparks into renewable energy hubs using their cutting-edge photovoltaic canopies. As they embarked on their journey to lead the transition towards a more sustainable world, Hellospark sought a brand identity that would reflect their innovative spirit and commitment to renewable energy.

For the housing association Valleys to Coast, the way that the repairs and maintenance arm operated was broken. The entire process from customer to company was fragmented and frustrating, thus needing a new sister company to adapt to the needs and expectations of its clientele.
The challenge
Hellospark needed a brand identity that would differentiate them in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector, where green and blue tones dominate the visual landscape.
The challenge was to create a brand that not only stands out but also embodies Hellospark's mission to innovate and lead change. The brand needed to communicate the dynamism of the company while resonating with their commitment to sustainability and technological advancement.
The Brand Idea
The brand idea revolved around the concept of sparking change — both literally and figuratively.
We wanted the brand to convey the energy, innovation, and forward-thinking mindset that Hellospark embodies. This led to the creation of a bespoke logotype where the negative space between the 'll' characters forms a lightning bolt, symbolising both the electrical energy that Hellospark harnesses and the company's role as a catalyst for change in the energy sector.
Developing the brand identity
To set Hellospark apart in a sea of green and blue, we chose a bold colour palette of black and yellow. This fresh approach not only differentiates Hellospark but also reflects the brand’s innovative and energetic personality. The yellow tones evoke the brightness and potential of solar energy, while the black provides a strong, professional contrast that conveys authority and expertise.
The lightning bolt from the logotype was more than just a clever design element—it became a bold and dynamic graphic device used across all brand collateral. This graphic was integrated into business cards, brochures, and even the website design, creating a consistent and impactful visual language that reinforces Hellospark's identity. The lightning bolt serves as a powerful reminder of Hellospark’s role in energising the future and driving change in the renewable energy sector.
Outcome
The new brand identity successfully captures the essence of the company—innovative, dynamic, and committed to driving change in the renewable energy sector. The distinctive logotype, bold colour palette, and the dynamic use of the lightning bolt graphic set Hellospark apart from competitors, while the bespoke iconography and website design provide a cohesive and engaging user experience.
Feedback from Hellospark and their partners has been overwhelmingly positive, with the new identity effectively conveying the company’s mission and values.
