New Homes Mortgage Broker (NHMB) have a refreshing approach to helping their clients with mortgage solutions. They focus on removing the worry out of searching for, finding and applying for a mortgage.
Buying a new home is not easy and never has been. At moments of high stress, clients need full confidence in their mortgage broker to guide them through the painstaking process of purchasing a new home. NHMB aim to be positioned as the go-to advisor for couples and young families who are anxious about purchasing a home and have big concerns over what they 'can afford'.

For the housing association Valleys to Coast, the way that the repairs and maintenance arm operated was broken. The entire process from customer to company was fragmented and frustrating, thus needing a new sister company to adapt to the needs and expectations of its clientele.
The Challenge
We jumped at the challenge of refining NHMB's brand positioning, which would be supported by a new identity, messaging, and a new website to present their values and proposition to their clients. To support NHMB’s ambitious growth, the new identity would be implemented across every brand touchpoint.
The Solution
Defining the brand values, refining its proposition and establishing a distinctive identity and tone of voice for NHMB was a fundamental part of their ambitious growth strategy.
Following a series of facilitated brand workshops and ideation sessions, alongside customer insight gathering and competitor research, we set about crafting the brand platform the business would need to move forward and achieve its goals.
The Brand Idea
We helped NMHB define a brand idea, which was ‘Always putting people at the heart of homeownership’. From our very first meeting and through our insight-gathering sessions, it was clear that NHMB was very much a people-centric business.
This idea helped to shape their core proposition, which is ‘Mortgage made effortless’.
These two statements set the guiding principles for the visual identity and the tone of voice moving forward.
Developing the Brand Identity
Investing in a new home is typically the biggest purchase we make. Whilst it was important for the brand identity to have character, fun, and dynamism, it was important that the brand felt trustworthy and retained a sense of seriousness.
To help strike this balance, we proposed a bold colour palette and playful illustrations that would be paired with a more serious tone of voice and messaging.
The NHMB brand identity is full of personality. Each element is designed to capture NHMB's spirit and culture while appealing to and reassuring its clients. It was vital that information was presented in a friendly, confident and approachable manner.
