Gryd is on a mission to disrupt the solar energy market. By removing the high upfront costs traditionally associated with solar, they’ve introduced a subscription-based model that makes renewable energy more accessible than ever.
But to truly change the game, they needed a brand that captured their forward-thinking ethos and positioned them as a challenger in a growing sector.

For the housing association Valleys to Coast, the way that the repairs and maintenance arm operated was broken. The entire process from customer to company was fragmented and frustrating, thus needing a new sister company to adapt to the needs and expectations of its clientele.



The challenge
Gryd had a transformative offer, but not yet a brand to match.
Their innovative subscription model challenged the status quo, yet their existing identity didn’t reflect their bold ambition or resonate with a broader audience. They needed to reposition themselves not just as a solar provider, but as a catalyst for change: modern, accessible, and future-focused.
To achieve that, the brand needed to stand apart in a sector full of sameness, and do justice to their belief in smart, sustainable energy for all.
The Brand Idea
We created a dynamic new identity system rooted in Gryd’s core purpose: to connect people with clean energy in a smarter, more human way.
At the heart of the brand is a bespoke emblem featuring 13 rotating spokes. This vortex-like form represents movement, momentum, and chain reaction — a symbol of how small changes can lead to big impact. The interplay of sharp and rounded edges reflects Gryd’s dual values: edge and empathy; precision and care.
Supporting the emblem is a custom logotype angled at 70º — a direct reference to the maximum pitch of UK roofs. This subtle but purposeful detail connects the brand to real-world solar implementation.
The visual language is inspired by natural forms — circles, spirals, and cycles — echoing the rhythms of nature and the regenerative promise of solar energy.









Outcome
Gryd’s new brand identity positions them clearly as a disruptor in the renewable energy space.
We delivered a full suite of brand assets — from typography and visual styling to comprehensive guidelines and rollout materials. These included printed and digital collateral such as business cards, flyers, banners, pitch decks, email signatures, and social media content — all designed to work seamlessly across channels.
The new website design brings the brand to life digitally, combining clarity with energy and accessibility.
With this transformation, Gryd now stands out with confidence — ready to accelerate their mission and energise a more sustainable future.
